The Farm Fair is a 56 year-old tradition and fairgoers of all ages will enjoy learning about Hawaii’s agriculture and farming industry in the Department of Agriculture’s “Buy Local, It Matters” Education Pavilion. In addition to exhibits, some of the freshest grown produce and most diverse plants will be available at the always-popular Kamehameha Schools’ Country Market and Plant sale.
Keiki will enjoy live animals including steer, goats, chickens, pigs and more in the 4-H Livestock Tent. There will also be festive entertainment acts, demonstrations, fun-filled on-stage contests like watermelon eating, corn husking and chili pepper eating, in addition to kiddie rides, bouncers and mouth-watering food.
Bring little ones to enjoy the Keiki Hands on the Farm exhibit which gives young children a chance to experience what a day on the farm is like, along with milking a life-sized cow (replica), a chick hatchery with live chicks and more.
